Das können Sie bewirken:

Development & Integration

• Design, develop and integrate avionics systems at aircraft level taking responsibility for ATA 34 Navigation and ATA 46 Information systems

• Define system architectures, functions, interfaces and requirements in accordance with the aircraft requirements

• Integrate related navigation functions and equipment, including AHRS, IRS, Air Data systems, GNSS/GPS, VOR/ILS, DME, ADF, FMS, Radar Altimeter, Transponder, TCAS, TAWS, Weather Radar and ROASS

• Prepare and maintain system specifications, interface control documents, functional descriptions and other design data

• Perform technical trade studies and recommend solutions considering safety, performance, integration, weight, cost and schedule

Certification & Testing

• Prepare, review and release Part 21 compliance documentation (MoC 0-9)

• Support system safety assessments and ensure implementation and verification of safety-derived requirements

• Prepare test requests, procedures and reports, and support laboratory, rig, aircraft ground and flight-test activities

• Analyse test results, manage findings and provide technical evidence for design verification, validation and certification

• Support technical reviews and discussions with Airworthiness, Compliance Verification Engineers and certification authorities

Technical Coordination & Supplier Management

• Act as technical focal point for suppliers, engineering partners and internal stakeholders for assigned navigation systems

• Prepare technical inputs for supplier selection, statements of work and equipment specifications

• Plan, coordinate and review supplier development activities, deliverables, design reviews and technical risks

• Support configuration and change management; assess deviations, non-conformities, problem reports and change requests

• Communicate technical status, dependencies, risks and decisions to the responsible management and program stakeholders

Technical Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Provide technically robust solutions for development, production and in-service issues including root-cause analysis and corrective actions

• Maintain awareness of applicable regulations, standards, technologies and industry practices for communication, navigation and surveillance systems

• Ensure the technical quality, consistency and traceability of engineering data and assigned work packages

• Improve engineering methods, templates, tools and processes to increase quality and efficiency

Das bringen Sie mit:

• Master’s degree, Diplom-Ingenieur or equivalent qualification in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

• At least 5 years of relevant aerospace experience in avionics system development, integration, verification and certification

• Experience in at least one new aircraft development or major aircraft modification programme

• Knowledge of civil aircraft navigation systems and their aircraft-level interfaces

• Experience with requirements management, system specifications, verification and configuration/change processes

• Familiarity with EASA Part 21J, CS-25/FAR 25 and applicable avionics regulations and standards

• Experience in preparing or reviewing certification, qualification and test documentation

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
