This is what you can do

Together with our team, you will plan the logistics for our new location at Leipzig/Halle Airport. You will also be responsible for managing our logistics team. 

Set up and manage a logistics team for the Leipzig site (50%): 

  • Establishing a logistics team that accompanies the flow of goods from incoming goods to the delivery of materials to production.
  • Planning of work processes taking into account the increase of efficiency according to the principles of lean management and in terms of sustainability
  • Optimization of work processes by using IT-supported applications and by promoting digitalization as well as promoting adaptations of IT applications after consultation and involvement of relevant departments

Logistics Activities (50%):

  • Receiving and placing materials and components into the appropriate storage areas based on type, size and condition.
  • Picking and retrieval of aircraft components, equipment, raw materials and consumables from the various storage areas based on the requirements set in SAP to ensure on-time transfer to production
  • Operation of automated high-bay warehouses in the context of storage and retrieval as well as inventory checks in the context of permanent and random inventories as well as loading and unloading of trucks with industrial trucks/forklifts or overhead conveyors

You’ll bring this with you

  • Successfully completed vocational training as a warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d) or bachelor's degree in warehouse management
  • Several years of experience in loading and unloading activities as well as in goods receiving and goods retrieval activities
  • Experience with process optimization and interdepartmental interaction
  • Valid driver's license class 3 or B
  • Confident handling of MS Office programs as well as SAP R/3 and/or SAP S/4 HANA
  • Acceptance of working alternating shifts (early and late shifts)
  • Good knowledge of aviation-specific regulations (EASA, FAA) desirable

Our position will be at our location in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich for familiarization until mid-2023. Subsequently, an assignment in Leipzig/Halle is planned.
