This is what you can do

The position holder will be supporting the test aircraft production in Oberpfaffenhofen, as well as industrialization for the final assembly line in Leipzig with the following key tasks:

  • Identification and specification of required jigs and tools based on assembly and test processes specified by the Manufacturing Engineering Specialists and in accordance with current industry standards and all regulatory obligations to ensure usability for the designated purpose (e.g. occupational safety legislation)
  • Responsibility to coordinate and assess request for proposals (RFPs) with potential jig & tool suppliers
  • Focal point for contracted suppliers to design & manufacture specified jigs and tools from contracting to delivery & acceptance to the production line
  • Introduction and training of personnel using tools within the production process
  • Specification and consolidation of overall product tooling register (including jigs and tools for component manufacturing, assembly and test)
  • Control that all specified maintenance tasks are performed as per tooling register
  • Ensure that all applicable requirements and specifications are kept up to date, cascade and compliance to all relevant suppliers and stakeholder is ensured

Please note that the place of work will be Oberpfaffenhofen until launch of the production in Leipzig. From start of the production in Leipzig, the work place will be in Leipzig.

You’ll bring this with you

  • Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing (Systems) Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years practical experience in Tooling Design and industrialization in assembly line context
  • Ability to perform Tooling Design in CATIA V5
  • Fluent in English, German as a plus
  • Ability to define processes from scratch
