This is what you can do

Your task is to lead the department for overall system design (OSD) within the Directorate Systems and Cabin. The OSD team drives overall system design for all current and future aircraft programs and is also responsible for the definition and roll-out of all processes and methods for Requirements Based Engineering (RBE) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), ranging from aircraft to equipment level. Your main tasks as Head of OSD include:

  • Disciplinary lead of a department with 5 engineers
  • Company-wide focal point on all aspects of Requirements Based Engineering (RBE) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Focal point for Chief Engineering on all OSD aspects and interface to OAD and OPD
  • Support of Chief Engineering for PDR and CDR execution
  • Focal point for all Systems & Cabin engineers on RBE and MBSE
  • Focal Point on all OSD-related aspects for DMU, Configuration Management, and Safety
  • Organize and roll-out trainings to larger engineering communities

You’ll bring this with you

  • >10 years experience in application of aerospace law, standards and processes
  • Proven leadership experience as disciplinary or technical team leader
  • Proven experience in large aircraft development/upgrade programs
  • Strong people focus, preferably experience in coaching
  • Excellent motivation and communication skills
  • Very strong analytical and coordination skills as well as pro-active and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work cross-discipline between systems, airframe, and OAD/OPD
  • Very good background knowledge of DOORS, MBSE Tools, 3DX / CATIA
