Head of Manufacturing Engineering (m/f/d)

In this key role as Head of Manufacturing Engineering, you are going to have a huge impact towards a sustainable and state of the art Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Leipzig. Therefore, you will:

• Have full supervision, technical leadership as well as accountability regarding personnel, budget and investment with all involved departments to ensure quality, time and costs
• Build and lead a high performance, multi-disciplined Manufacturing Engineering organization encompassing the whole ME perimeter including talent selection, training, development, engagement, ongoing performance and succession planning
• Secure all FAL perimeter based on the development, assessment and implementation of new modifications, manufacturing concepts, technologies, work packages, improvements and calculations
• Ensure the release of FAL's and Flightline's ground test instructions as well as their continuous improvements
• Develop close relationships with Program, Supply Chain and Quality teams to deliver manufacturing engineering solutions in line with customer requirements and expectations
• Accountable for sustaining and improving Program & Product manufacturing engineering systems in line with business case expectations
• Develop and execute risk management stratety for the production ramp-up phase to mitigate product, supply chain and process maturity

• Knowledge of EASA 21G and CAPEX, MAP & LEAN
• Experience of influencing stakeholders and establishing effective working relationships within a global organisation
• Best practices and extensive knowledge within a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing engineering environment with time-critical requirements
