This is what you can do
As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, the Digital Thread Manager drives the digital transformation of Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and In-Service Operations by implementing and managing the Digital Thread at Deutsche Aircraft. This role ensures seamless integration of product data across the entire lifecycle, enabling a holistic product view and supporting the creation of digital twins.
- Strategy and Implementation: Define and execute strategies for establishing and scaling the Digital Thread to support digital transformation.
 - Data Integration and Management: Ensure product data from design, manufacturing, and in-service phases is consistently connected and accessible as a trusted source of truth.
 - Process optimization: Leverage integrated data to optimize business processes, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
 - Collaboration and Communication: Foster cross-functional collaboration, influence stakeholders, and lead teams in adopting digital solutions and smart manufacturing practices and business solutions.
 
You’ll bring this with you
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
 - Several years of experience in digital transformation, product lifecycle management (PLM), or manufacturing engineering.
 - Understanding of product lifecycle processes (design, manufacturing, in-service).
 - Knowledge in Model Based Definition (MBD).
 - Proven track record in implementing data integration, digital thread, or digital twin initiatives. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in aerospace/manufacturing.
 - Familiarity with PLM systems, CAD/CAM/CAE/CAQ tools, and ERP/MES integration.
 - Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive cross-functional adoption.
 - Fluency in English and German.
 - Strong project management and change management capabilities.
 - Ability to foster and enable digital transformation.
