This is what you can do

As part of the Flight Test Group, the Test Pilot is responsible for conducting test operations on experimental aircrafts for the purpose of research, development and certification. 

The area of responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the aircraft design with respect to pilot interface and human factors.
  • Observe company and EASA rules and regulations, and proper use of safety and risk mitigation methods and the safe operation of equipment.
  • Review and approve flight test related documents.
  • Review and approve test aircraft operational documentation and checklists.
  • Conduct test pilot activities on rigs and simulators and report on test operations.
  • Safely conduct flight test operations on aircraft for the purpose of research, development and certification in accordance with authority and company policies and procedures.
  • Duties include flight planning, safety of flight activities, test reporting, generating operational documentation, training, and support of the engineering team with pilot evaluations.

You’ll bring this with you

  • Engineering degree in a STEM subject
  • Graduate of an accredited Test Pilot School
  • EASA CPL/IR or ATPL with Test CAT I or II
  • EASA class 1 medical certificate
  • EASA CVE experience is a plus
  • 3 Years of job experience in development flight test
  • 1500 hours PIC time on Part 25 aircraft, including 200 hours of flight test
  • Envelope expansion flight test experience
  • Exceptional communicator, strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Very good written and oral knowledge in English. German is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to work with irregular hours and work days
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • Previous experience with regional turboprop aircraft
