This is what you can do
The PDT Chief Engineer Avionics, Electrics & EWIS is the highest integration authority for the respective work packages within an aircraft program, overseeing and steering the technical integration of respective systems fulfilling the specified functionality on aircraft level.
- Leading the development execution of a product delivery team (PDT) on time, cost and quality
- Integrating the Avionics, Electrics and EWIS systems on aircraft level in alignment with aircraft level requirements and chief engineers
- Monitoring design progress and where required elaboration of recovery plans and improvement proposals is required
- Delivering a System level product description (SDD) identifying:
- System Level Functions
- Logical System Architecture
- Physical System Definition
- Providing regular Weight Reports to the weights group
- Providing regular System Performance Status Updates
- Participation in Technical Change Board Meetings where the system level is affected
- Participation in airworthiness and/or regulatory board meetings
- Technical risk & opportunity management
- Definition and execution of technical risk mitigation plans
You’ll bring this with you
- Engineering degree (e.g. BEng, MEng) in Aerospace Engineering or related area
- At least 15 years of professional experience in relevant fields of aircraft development especially system integration, proven experience as Systems Chief Engineer of at least 10 years in a similar area
- Wide proficiency of latest certification requirements, aircraft system design approaches, incl. interfaces with all other disciplines
- Confirmed experience in leading and executing systems development within an aircraft program in a CS-25 aircraft development program
- Excellent knowledge of air legislation, quality management, configuration management and all safety aspects for new aircraft development program
- String ability to interact and influence , pro-active and solution-oriented working style
- Proven ability to prioritize, manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks
- Very good presenting, communication and presentation skills
- Confirmed leadership skills of multi-cultural teams
- Pro-active and solution-oriented working style
