This is what you can do:
- Lead the Airworthiness Function within the EASA Part 21 Design Organisation and manage the execution of DOA privileges.
- Support DOA management activities, including the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of DOA procedures, handbooks, governance, and compliance processes.
- Oversee Configuration Management as Head of the function, ensuring controlled product configuration, configuration baselines, change control discipline, and alignment between certification, engineering, and programme needs.
- Oversee Technical Publications as Head of the function, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality publication deliverables, including manuals and continued airworthiness documentation where applicable.
- Serve as the primary interface with EASA and other regulatory authorities on certification, validation, airworthiness, operational suitability, and environmental matters.
- Lead and coordinate aircraft certification and validation programmes from planning through approval.
- Provide strategic airworthiness guidance to engineering, programme, quality, configuration management, technical publications, and executive management teams.
- Support continued airworthiness activities, service bulletins, manuals, occurrence investigations, complaints from operation, and regulatory actions where required.
- Being a member of the Design Organization leadership team.
You’ll bring this with you:
- Educated Engineering degree (BA Eng/Sc, MA Eng/Sc) in materials, aeronautics / aviation or mechanical
- 15+ years professional experience in relevant fields of aircraft development and support to in-service aircraft
- Wide proficiency of aircraft certification
- Thorough knowledge of the airworthiness requirements (CS/JAR/FAR-25, CS-CCD, CS-FCD, CS-MMEL, CS-SIMD, CS-FSTD) and minimum 5 years of experience in type investigation
- Profound knowledge of EASA Part 21
- Eligibility for, or previous approval as, an EASA Form 4 holder or equivalent.
- New product development experience of at least one new aircraft programme
- Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritise, manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks
- Assertive, proactive, innovative and creative
- Excellent written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage
