Development & Integration
• Define, design and develop or modify the aircraft electrical power generation and distribution system, including equipment, interfaces and installation requirements
• Derive, allocate, manage and verify system and equipment requirements in accordance with ED-79/ARP4754A and the applicable development assurance framework
• Develop and maintain system architecture, interface definitions, functional descriptions, design data and other type design documents
• Perform and maintain Electrical Load Analysis and support protection coordination and failure case assessments
• Conduct technical trade studies and provide substantiated recommendations considering safety, performance, integration, weight, cost, schedule and industrial impact
Certification & Testing
• Plan and prepare certification compliance evidences for the applicable Means of Compliance (Moc 0-9)
• Prepare, review and support aircraft and system safety assessments at system and equipment level in coordination with the safety function
• Plan and support design reviews, qualification activities, laboratory and rig testing, aircraft ground tests and flight tests; evaluate results and manage technical findings
• Participate in EASA and other authority panel meetings and prepare technical reviews
Technical Coordination & Supplier Management
• Prepare system and equipment specifications and technical inputs for supplier selection and contracting
• Act as the technical focal point for equipment suppliers, engineering partners and internal stakeholders; review and accept supplier data and deliverables
• Support configuration, change, problem and risk management; assess technical deviations, non-conformities and change requests
• Ensure timely delivery and technical quality of assigned work packages; communicate status, risks, dependencies and decisions to the line manager and programme stakeholders
Technical Excellence & Continuous Improvement
• Develop technically robust solutions for production and in-service issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective action definition
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering methods, standards, tools and lessons learned
You’ll bring this with you:
• Master’s degree, Diplom-Ingenieur or equivalent qualification in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• More than 10 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry, including system development and integration
• Experience in at least one new aircraft development or major aircraft modification program
• Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft electrical power generation, conversion, protection and distribution architectures
• Practical experience in Electrical Load Analysis and relevant ELA tools
• Experience in requirements management, verification and validation in accordance with ED-79/ARP4754A or equivalent processes
• Working knowledge of aircraft/system safety processes, including ARP4761 methods and safety assessment deliverables
• Familiarity with EASA Part 21J, CS-25/FAR 25 and applicable operational requirements
• Experience in preparing certification and compliance documentation and supporting authority interactions
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
