This is what you can do

Oxygen System Development Skills

  • Extensive knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in aircraft oxygen / pneumatic systems; knowledge of oxygen systems’ industry standards (e.g. SAE standards)
  • Identify suppliers and select components and materials to replace and/or improve the oxygen system
  • Perform oxygen system performance calculations and hazard assessments and create corresponding reports for certification compliance showing
  • Ensure that the oxygen system meets all safety standards and complies with all regulatory requirements
  • Define system test plans and procedures for initial system qualification as well as for production testing
  • Develop technical solutions for in-service issues on the current fleet

System Integration Skills

  • Define detailed requirements for the system integration into the cabin interior. Coordinate and prepare the system / component specifications
  • Liaise between project management, project teams, and all interfacing engineering departments
  • Work in close coordination with production and maintenance personnel for prototype and test integration into the aircraft

Project Management Skills

  • Owning the technical project development and delivery of solutions to Oxygen Systems, meeting weight, cost and reliability targets
  • Responsible for assigned oxygen system from concept through to delivery. Ensuring that timelines for integration and certification requirements are met
  • Perform critical path analysis; prepare and implement work-around plans to ensure the successful completion of projects

You’ll bring this with you

  • Master’s / bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 10 years or more experience in aviation
  • Extensive experience in Oxygen / Pneumatic Systems
  • Familiar with oxygen system sizing and performance calculations
  • Familiar with system components’ equipment qualification (DO-160)
  • Familiar with oxygen specific regulatory requirements and the compilation of compliance showing documentation
  • Experience of aircraft development programs
  • Experience with simulation software tools is a benefit
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
