This is what you can do:
Technical Development & Systems Engineering
- Lead the development, sizing, integration, and modification of aircraft hydraulic systems and associated equipment
- Define system requirements and perform verification and validation activities in accordance with ARP4754
- Develop technical solutions to support aircraft development programs and resolve in-service issues
- Conduct technical trade studies and evaluate alternative design solutions
- Prepare technical specifications and type design documentation
- Support system integration activities and ensure compliance with program requirements
Certification, Safety & Compliance
- Prepare Part 21 compliance documentation utilizing applicable Means of Compliance (MoC)
- Ensure compliance with applicable airworthiness regulations and certification requirements
- Perform and assess system and equipment-level safety analyses in accordance with industry standards and best practices
- Support EASA certification activities and participate in panel meetings with regulatory authorities
- Contribute to qualification, ground test, and flight test campaigns
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary technical interface for suppliers regarding hydraulic system development and integration activities
- Collaborate closely with Design Engineering, Stress, Safety, Certification, Flight Test, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams
- Support cross-functional problem solving and risk mitigation activities
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal stakeholders and project teams
You’ll bring this with you:
- Master's Degree, Diplom-Ingenieur, or equivalent qualification in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Experience in at least one new Part 25 aircraft development program from concept through certification
- Knowledge of aircraft hydraulic systems and associated equipment
- Strong knowledge of EASA Part 21J and CS/FAR 25 certification requirements
- Familiarity with aerospace development standards and processes including ARP4754, ARP4761, and DO-160 Experience supporting qualification, ground testing, flight testing, and certification activities
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), and SmarTeam
- Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and spoken English skills; German language skills are considered an advantage
- Strong team orientation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
