This is what you can do:

  • Development, maintenance and compliance with information security policies, information security management manuals, standards, processes, best practices, preventive measures and disaster recovery plans (including emergency prepared-ness, business continuity and disaster recovery).
  • Conducting and documenting information security risk analyses, threat analyses and vulnerability assessments.
  • Identification of assets, their potential risks and regular monitoring for up-to-dateness
  • Planning and monitoring of technical and organizational security measures. As well as consulting on technical security solutions and secure system architecture, including authorization structures.
  • Compliance, maintenance and further development of legal and regulatory requirements (such as Implementation Regulation (EU) 2023/203 and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1645) as well as possible applicable standards ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, etc.
  • Possible on-call duty or weekend work in case of incidents or resolving issues
  • Act as contact for internal and external audits and security-related inquiries from business partners
  • Collaborate with SMS, IT department, ISO, data protection, audit, and external auditors.
  • Monitoring of safety-relevant events, incident handling, and response to safety incidents.
  • Training and awareness-raising of employees.
  • Assessment of incidents regarding aircraft safety assets and reporting to the SMS
  • Member of the Safety Review Board as an information security specialist, if required.
  • Regular preparation of security reports for management and the SMS regarding ISMS activities.
  • Regular monitoring of our system landscape for security breaches.
  • Creation, improvement, and reporting of safety performance indicators as part of the Part-IS

You’ll bring this with you:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT security, information science, or related fields. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are highly desirable.
  • Several years of experience in information security or IT security, ideally experience with the implementation or operation of an ISMS. Experience with risk and vulnerability management, incident handling.
  • Familiarity with aviation-specific systems and security risks.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, IT baseline protection)
  • Knowledge of legal requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIS2)
  • Technical knowledge, e.g., network security, encryption, authentication, access control
  • Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, and pen tests.
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills; precise reporting to management levels; ability to present technical topics in an understandable way.
  • Initial ISMS training are highly desirable
  • Valid Background check (ZÜP) as per Section 7 of the German Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG) are highly desirable
